As an Executive Coach, Janel’s passion is helping leaders and organizations grow into their full potential by defining success, overcoming obstacles, reframing challenges, and building high trust environments. Janel has provided executive coaching and organizational development solutions for over 25+ years across a variety of industries with differing size and scope (start-ups through Fortune 100). Her work includes resilience practices and quantum thinking to create expansive, sustainable changes.
Janel works with leaders to define success, amplify individual and team strengths, and incorporate behavior changes needed to attain the targeted goals. Her straight forward, values-based approach to collaborating and finding solutions is visionary, thoughtful, and helpful.
For the last 25 years all of Janel’s positions have included coaching and developing leaders. Janel has worked with start-ups and with Fortune 100 companies. Prior to starting her own consulting practice in 2014, she worked at Apple, Freescale, Dell and Personnel Decisions International (PDI) in Austin.

Janel works at the CEO level through the Senior Manager level, giving her line of sight across talent. She specializes in leadership transitions, succession planning, and organizational culture development. Resilience, working through ambiguity, and focusing on the next best step to attain objectives have all been key drivers in leadership success.
Her background in team collaboration, building cross-functional accountability, and leadership coaching at the executive level allows her to quickly engage and help leaders and teams move forward. Her understanding of end-to-end operations and assessing opportunities adds valuable insight to the coaching experience.
Education and Professional Affiliations
Janel earned an M.S. degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Kansas State University and a B.S. degree in Psychology from Colorado State University. Janel has achieved certification from the International Coach Federation. She has worked as Adjunct Faculty at the Center for Creative Leadership and has certifications in a number of behavioral assessments including the Enneagram, E.Q., Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI), Hogan Development Survey (HDS), Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory (MVPI), Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), FIRO-B, Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI), 5 Behaviors of a Team, Watson-Glasser, Raven’s Matrices and other cognitive and behavioral assessments.
